I think one of my favorite words is “organization.” Orginization is such a stress reliever!
For a while now under my kitchen sink was REALLY stressing me out. Chemicals were always being knocked over and I could never find what I needed. I decided to finally do something about it!
All this project took was a trip to the dollar store, a box from Aldi, and some re-distribution of my cleaning products! I have a closet upstairs that is being re-organized currently to be my cleaning closet. So I tried to just keep the chemicals I needed for my kitchen under the sink and moved the rest, along with my cleaning caddy, to the closet.
My favorite method of cleaning something is to pull absolutely EVERYTHING out and make a bigger mess before it gets better. Hey, I’m a reformed messy! 😜 At least it works.
So that’s what I did. Pulled EVERYTHING out. I threw away empty bottles, (how did those get there?) and sorted through what i wanted to keep down there.
I kept the stainless steel cleaner I use on the fridge, the Lysol wipes, some disenfectant and Clorox cleanup for my chemicals. I moved all of my dish tabs into a $1 bin and used the other $1 bin for all of my sponges/Magic Erasers. I labeled both of the bins with chalk contact paper, of course! 😜 That is one of my favorite frugal orginization tips! I grabbed a roll (or maybe three 😊) of chalk contact paper for $1 a roll. You can cut it up into TONS of small labels and if you re-purpose the bin later, you don’t need a new label. Just erase and label again!
I also used a little Command Strip hook to hang up my dustpan so it’s easy to grab.
I also grabbed a little blue handled carrier and I filled it up with plastic grocery bags. I am loving it! I got that at the Dollar Tree, too! 🙂
I have my paper towels under the sink, too!
Remember I painted an old blueberry box I got for free? Yep that’s what I loaded all the chemicals into and put that under the sink. If you want to check out that project click here.
What are your under the sink essentials? How did you organize it?
Until next time,
